Abstract Photography Presentation a huge success.
Thank you, Neville Thorogood, for such an inspiring and informative presentation on Monday Night. It certainly has got us all thinking about new possibilities in viewing and photographing our surroundings. Two members straight into it. This is what our club is about: Inspiring and learning and enjoying!

Help Needed as an assistant audio-visual coordinator.
Hi all,
We are looking for a few people to assist and relieve John Frost when necessary. This will involve setting up the computer, projector, sound system and downloading files to project on competition night. John is happy to show people the ropes and if we can have a few people skilled, it will take some pressure off John.
Please email me if you can assist in anyway.
Our grant to Wangi Workers Club for a new laptop has been approved.
On another matter Betty has let me know that Ken Linsley is very sick.
He has melanoma through his body, and he has had a bleed to the brain and is currently in the Mater Hospital. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his wife Christine.

Digital entries closing date changed.
At the committee meeting held last night we had extensive discussions about the changes that have been implemented re: digital judging now being done live on comp night.
It was decided that as the judge no longer needs time for judging and making comments that it is no longer necessary for the judges to get access to the digital entries so far in advance.
Starting with our next competition, which is our May competition, the closing date for digital entries will be the same as the closing time for the print entries. That means all of our May entries will be due by 11:59 pm on Saturday 11th May.
This is something that a few members have been requesting.
It will then be the same for all future competitions.
Thank you to David Price for making the necessary adjustments on our website.
The judges will have access to the digitals from when the competition entries close just so that they can have a brief overview before judging on the night. This will now only be 2 days as opposed to previously 2 weeks. The reason for this is that the judge no longer needs to do the judging at home, rather they will do the judging live on the night.
We are giving them the 2 days to view them if they wish as viewing the digitals on the night isn’t as easy as viewing the prints and it could make it easier to judge on the night if they’ve been able to preview them.
We hope this change of entry date will make things a lot easier for our members who have been requesting this.

Financial Position of WWCC
As I won’t be at the AGM in June, the committee has decided to outline our financial position at the moment and predicted budget outcome for the following financial year. I presented this at our meeting Monday night for those in attendance. Please email me if you have any comments or questions.
I would like to also remind members that all positions for the committee are declared vacant at the end of June, and if you would like some new blood and energy in our club, please consider nominating for a role.
