- POTY RESULTS
by Colleen Price, October 28, 2019
Another wonderful success for our club in the Open Division. We are in Group E with 25 other clubs. Our six entries gained four awards with Dianne’s image “Grannys Bonnet” scoring 14/15 and earning a gold medal. Other award winners were David Hansell, Colleen Price and Ian English. This was judged by a Chinese club – Jiahua Elite Photography Association. We are three points clear of the next club in our group. Huge thanks to everyone who submitted images for consideration and I want to encourage everyone to keep putting in images so we have a large body of work to select from. You never know when your turn will come. Please click on “more” to see results tables. You can also go to this link to see the awarded images for the Creative Interclub recently closed – https://psa-photo.org/index.php?2019-20-pid-creative-interclub-round-one(more…)

Once again Wangi has excelled in the creative comp. I have attached the results and now we await the other three interclub comp results. We achieved four awards out of the six images entered. The judging panel was comprised of some of the best competition photographers in the UK.
Well done to all who entered images for consideration. We cannot use any of the six images which were presented but all of the other images not selected will be eligible to represent when the entries open for round two earlier in the New Year. Please click the “more” button to see the tables of results.(more…)

For the purpose of clarification. The Wangi Workers Camera Club Account Numbers are: BSB 650 000, Account Number 526472301. Members wishing to make payments for their Christmas Dinner or any other payment via Bank Transfer must use the above numbers.
Some of you may have previously used a different BSB. I.E. BSB 650 300. Newcastle Permanent have advised that this has now been phased out. Any payments already made using this number will get paid into our account but all future payments should use BSB 650 000.

There were seven Advanced Grade members judging with scores between 1 – 5 for each image. As we can only submit one image per member, some of the images had to be dropped out. The top six images in each section have been selected. We can use the non selected images for future rounds as well as the fabulous images you will capture in the meantime.(more…)

Don’t forget that next Monday 11/11/19 is our POTY (Photo of the Year) competition.
You don’t need to upload any photos to the site… just bring your prints on the night.
The categories are Colour, Mono and Nature. If you want to choose any of your images that have been entered in Set Subject, just choose one of the categories available that they would fit into best.
Any photos that have been entered as EDI’s will need to be printed.
You can enter 4 images, but a maximum of 2 in any of the categories.
The images must be images that you have entered in this year’s competitions without any alterations.
Please have your images on the stands by 6:30 pm.
Our judge for this year’s POTY is Peter McNeill. He is an accomplished commercial Photographer from Cessnock. His business name is “Natural Lightscapes”.
Good luck to everyone!
It’ll be great to see a showcase of our best images for 2019.
